Port Macquarie Hastings Council were successful with funding under the “Permit, Plug & Play” grant. This grant aimed to enhance four streets within the PMHC region. Hastings Street in Wauchope was chosen by Council to be one of the targeted streets.
Late last year, we surveyed the businesses on Hastings Street to see what they would like to see implemented to enhance the street. We then provided this feedback to Council to hopefully influence and inform them of the ideas of the business community in Hastings Street.
We have now been informed of the outcome, which will be the lighting of the fig trees along the street.
