DESCRIPTION:The June Exhibition at the Wauchope Art Gallery celebrates refused artworks that have been rejected from a Public Exhibition in the last five years. \nSo what is Salon des Refusés\, I hear you say?… \nLet’s go back to 1863…\nOriginating in 1667 the word ‘Salon’ refers to an official exhibition of art sponsored by the French government. Moving forward to 1863 there was protest by artists whose work had been rejected by the official Salon. Emperor Napoleon III ordered a special exhibition for the refused artworks which included works from Manet\, Cézanne\, Camille Pissarro\, and Whistler. \nThe Exhibition known as the Salon des Refusés (French: Salon of the Refused) was a turning point in the history of art and paved the way for new artistic styles to come into recognition. Empowered artists began to arrange their own exhibitions and the importance of Art dealers grew.

DESCRIPTION:Business Incubator Program\n\n\n\n\n\nWe all have an idea of where we want our business or business idea to go\, and now is the time to have those burning questions answered and move your business forward!\n\nThe Business Incubator Program is open to new and existing businesses from across the Hastings region across Manufacturing\, Agribusiness\, Creative Industries and Tourism.\n\nWhether you have a business idea\, are a start up or simply looking to expand your business knowledge and networks\, the incubator program can help you along your business journey.\nThe first Incubator Series will commence in February 2022 and will run for a short\, sharp 6 weeks!\n\nEach week participants will explore one of five key business topics including:\n1. Finance\,\n2. Marketing\,\n3. People & culture\,\n4. Risk & resilience\,\n5. Innovation\nThe program includes workshops\, peer sessions and six mentoring sessions.\n\nParticipants will attend workshops both online and in person and take up tasks & activities as part of the program. On average it is expected the commitment is approx 2-3 hours per week. The program will be based at the Wauchope Business Hub and Art Gallery at 62 Cameron St Wauchope NSW 2446.\n\nPart of the Hastings Business Stimulus Project. DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Launch for the Wauchope Art Gallery and Business Hub!\n\n\n\n\n\nCome along for the Opening Exhibition “Reflections of the Hinterland” as we launch the new Art Gallery and Business Hub in Cameron St Wauchope. \n\n\nWe asked Artists from across the Hastings region to submit works that reflect the Hinterland for them. Enjoy a glimpse of the Hastings Hinterland through the eyes of our local creatives. \nThe Gallery and Business Hub space was made possible with bushfire recovery funding and provides opportunities for both the promotion of local Artists and also support\, networking and promotional opportunities for Hastings Businesses. The Hub will be the base for the Business Incubator Program which is open to both new and existing businesses (taking registrations now) and includes peer group sessions and mentoring. \nThe Wauchope Chamber are excited to bring this space to the Wauchope CBD and encourage Hastings Businesses to get involved and benefit from what’s on offer. \nThis event is part of the Hastings Business Stimulus Project.
